CLP Deadline Extended to 6/29
June 15, 2020 at 9:00 AM
It's been a busy few weeks in our community, with businesses beginning to reopen and community members taking to the streets in protest of ongoing racial injustice. We know that professional development has taken a backseat to personal and business development, so we are extending the deadline to apply for our Community Leadership Program to Monday, June 29th.
Strong, inclusive, forward-thinking community leadership is needed now more than ever. We want to make this class the most diverse in the 30 years of the program, and we could use everyone's help in accomplishing this goal.
Please forward this link to those you believe would be a benefit to this program, or send us a referral of someone we can reach out to directly.
Please note that tuition assistance is available, and the program is open to individuals who are not members of the Iowa City Area Business Partnership. In addition, the Community Foundation of Johnson County is celebrating their 20th anniversary and responding to our community’s call for diversity, equity, and inclusion by funding two full-tuition scholarships for community members of color to participate in the Community Leadership Program Class of 2020-2021. Historically, the Community Foundation has strong ties to this program, which supports many of our community’s leaders in their personal and professional development. Participants in CLP gain a deep understanding of Iowa City’s strengths, challenges, and opportunities through 10 full day, themed sessions. Interested participants can apply for both the partial and full scholarships through the same application, linked below.
All materials must be submitted by 4:30 pm on June 29.
